其實我對iPad的慾望一直都很低，因為我們各有一支iPhone，而且兩個人有四台筆電，到底要iPad幹嘛呀.......
也不知道哪來的靈感，前幾天設計師突然說:我們去買iPad Mini好嗎？
兩天過後，我們抱了一台白色32G iPad 4回家。（看習慣Retina面板，iPad mini的解析度一眼就被我們這種明眼人唾棄啦～）
買回來之後，跟Siri打打鬧吵吵嘴與對於它無敵的飆速感到佩服之外，很多時刻雖然我手滑著螢幕，但是我內心是空洞的.....因為....我現在到底要幹嘛？

滑著滑著，我竟然意外地發現了Kindle APP！！這是什麼神奇的東西！？
原來是Amazon出版的電子書Kindle，也有給iPhone跟iPad下載使用的APP耶～更棒的是，Kindle商店三不五十會有免費的書可以下載，二話不說，我立即在iPad上安裝Kindle。
這麼一下載，我接下來的四天除了上班之外都抱著iPad不放，讓設計師再度說出:我們再去買一台iPad好嗎?.......(是的，買到現在他都只能旁邊“別人吃麵自己話修“）
而讓我如此深深著迷，其實不是什麼熱門的遊戲，而是一本書:The Rose Hotel。
我一向對伊斯蘭相關的事物很感興趣，原因之前提過在這，所以當我看到這本書以$0.00元即可閱讀的情況下，就立即按下click....
面對免費的事物，難免有種“是不是沒人要看“的疑慮，結果一看不得了，當我的心情跟著作者的筆觸忽高忽低時，這本書也在幾天之後，就漲回$11.99元了（爸媽！我賺到了！！）
這是作者真實的故事，一個從三十多年前伊朗伊斯蘭革命前起頭的故事，描寫一個富足歡愉擁有一座飯店的穆斯林家庭，怎麼樣的遵奉可蘭經，怎麼樣的期待革命後的生活，而怎麼樣的失望，甚至失去至愛，而選擇出走。
這個故事裡，有太多的堅持讓我不解，有太多的體諒讓我感動，有太多的悲劇讓我傷痛，我跟著他們痛苦，跟著他們失落，跟著他們期盼，一頁接著一頁，透過作者深刻細緻的描寫，一個伊斯蘭家庭，似乎在我眼前，演出了一場戲，但是對他們而言，這是他們真實的人生。
這本書完全有拍成電影的潛力。
看著這本書時，我無法停止不談論它，我邊看邊查伊朗，邊查革命歷史，邊查Shia與Shah，邊查麥加，邊查他們很愛的Pomegranate Kernel， 我好像在上歷史課喔（笑）！

我總覺得瘋一本書比瘋70多集的甄嬛傳來的理智與節省時間多了。只是看完了The Rose Hotel，我這幾天已經又下載了四本書在iPad裡等著我了！
